My shower area floor is terrazzo. What would be the best way to clean it?

Mop the floor with a pH-neutral floor cleanser made for stone. Do not use consumer floor cleansers, as they are not pH neutral, and may corrode or stain the floor. Allow the mop water to sit on the floor for five minutes to loosen dirt.

Terrazzo comes in two varieties-- cement based and epoxy based. For cement-based you can use any cleaner-- you're basically scrubbing concrete and stone. For epoxy-based, it's a bit more delicate-- don't use anything very abrasive or harsh-- any cleaner that is okay for formica or fiberglass should be okay.

If it's getting a whitish sheen, it may need polishing with some mild abrasive, such as the tan car buffing compound.
