Dawn: "Code doesn't write itself". Ooooops, yes it does. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Self-modify... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quine_(comp... http://www.primaryobjects.com/CMS/Articl...
There is no evidence to suggest either the existence or non existence of god. And yes, before those who want proof of a positive, this is not a law court. Firstly, science tells us that the earth has a beginning.
A before. It also tells us that we live in a universe of cause and effect. By going on this we must at some point come to the first cause that set all in motion and it is reasonable to call this first cause God.
The question is what you believe this first cause to be. Atheism would determine that there is no divine deity from which all matter came from. As such, there is no god.
It is not anti god, just no god. Based on the causality argument, nothing can come from nothing and as such there must have been a pre cursor to existence. A series of events that brought us to what we now know.
So, really the argument, in terms of atheism rests on not what brought all into being but more so on what is a god. What is the definition of an divine deity. It is 'clearly' the absence of a definitive answer to this question that gives rise to this argument.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
