1 No that does not seem to be the common practice. However, I wouldn't let it worry me. With the MRSA and the staph infections out there today, the dentist is probably wise to dispose of it properly.As a matter of fact, it seems that destroying teeth that were removed because of infection SHOULD be the common practice.
