In short: no. If your Wii is broken then you need to get a new one, check your warranty to see if you can send it to Nintendo. If you want a console that can play in then they will not play Wii games.
The only two consoles that can play in -Def are the PlayStation 3, and the Xbox 360. To use the hi-def on both of those you will need a V. , which you can find different qualities thereof.
When describing HDTV you will see a number, 720p or 1080p. This describes how many little dots the tv shows, so the higher the better, a normal TV are 480p (which is what the Wii is). Only thing about the TV is the Contrast Ratio, will look like this - 1:3000 , that second number, the higher the better.
The contrast ratio determines how "bright" the brights are and how "dark" the darks are and how you can tell them apart. As far as choosing a 360 or a PS3 is another question, they both work on normal TV's. It really comes done to what type of person you are: Wii - fun, easy, parties, multi-player at your house, arcade, simple.
- things you can do for an hour or so and have fun 360/PS3 - shooters, roleplaying, action/adventure, racing - deep intense games with online multiplayer, longer lasting. Some games come out for all three though. Gh-Definition in itself is very good if you can afford it, get a good TV with a decent sound system, an upconverting DVD player, and you will instantly see the difference.
Not so much with HDDVD or Blu-Ray, atleast not yet, I wouldn't get into either of those (PS3 can watch Blu-ray movies though) for a couple more years as many movie companies are switching.
Yes your games will work Of course your old Wii games will work. Man would that be frustrating if you had to just through out your old games. You can even play Gamecube (Nitendo's console before the wii) games on the Wii.In terms of the I had no idea they were evening considering making one.
I found this atricle (gamepro.com/news.cfm?article_id=126268) that says they are looking at releasing them in 2009. I would assume you don't want to wait that long and go ahead and just get a new regular one. Mario Galaxy is the best game for the Wii hands down at the moment.

We thought ours was fried, too, because it kept freezing up and/or shutting off in the middle of a game. However, we discovered that it was a malfunction with the internal fan. Seems that the fan was somehow getting stuck, so it kept over heating, and thus, shutting off.
My son took the back off, loosened the fan, and we haven't had any problems since then. If you truly feel it is fried, I would call Nintendo. Before we figured out it was the fan, we called their customer service line and they really were helpful.
Thinking it may have been something with the power cord, they sent us out a new one (it wasn't the problem, but we now have an extra cord just in case). I'm sorry that I can't answer about the hi-def, but before you give up totally on your Wii, I would try to salvage it first..
No, they won't. Wii games can only be played on the Wii console. It's the same with all consoles and their software, the only exception being backwards compatibility with previous models by the same manufacturer (as in, the Wii can play GameCube games, some PS3 models can play PS2 games, and Xbox 360 can play some Xbox games).
As for high-def, I am not sure what you are asking. The only negative to high-definition is cost. It provides a much higher resolution, and therefore much clearer image than standard definition.
However, an HD television will obviously cost more than an SD television (if you don't already have one) and it is necessary to display an HD image from an HD capable console. If you are asking about the merits of the HD-capable consoles themselves, then both are worthy purchases for a gamer. Each console has a number of quality titles in its library (as does the Wii).
It is simply a matter of deciding which library is the most interesting to you and weighing it against the price of the console. If you already have Wii games, however, that might be the best purchase. And I would recommend calling Nintendo about your problems, as they have very good customer service and will likely be willing to repair or replace your console (for free, if it's still under warranty).
If you do get it replaced and have made any purchases from the Wii Shop Channel, be sure to ask that they transfer this content to your new Wii, as they do not do this by default.
I suggest to stay with the Wii! Check out the use web sites: Drunk Nintendo Exec spills beans on hidden Wii -Def capabilities Nintendo Wii In This is what you should get if your going to stay with the Wii: WII HI-DEF 480p CABLE If you already have Wii games, you should probably stay with the console.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
