My Xbox 360 just red-ringed. Can I just buy an Xbox 360 Arcade and stick my hard-drive in?

The arcade is meant to be able to have the hard drive upgraded - so it should work. But I'd like to point out that the RROD warranty should be 3 years, so double check. I was slightly confused last time mine died because the normal warranty was expired, but once I got to the part of their site that you select the problem, it showed a cost of $0 and said the RROD warranty was three years.

If that's expired, I'd check to see how much it costs out of warranty - you might save some money.

The short answer is yes. You will just have to transfer all the licenses of the purchases you have made from XBLM to the new console. The info for the transfer is here: xbox.com/en-US/support/systemuse/xbox360....

I would check first, by opening the Xbox and unplugging the HDD. If it works, then you know the HDD is the problem. If it has the same error then the odds are in your favor.

But, you can't use an Arcade, they don't have internal hard drives. Why you shouldn't buy an Xbox 360 Arcadehttp://news.cnet.com/why-you-shouldnt-buy-an-xbox-360-arcade.

Here's Mahalo's page on the problem: How to Fix a Red Ring of Death If you don't get what you need out of that, please try calling 1-800-4MY-XBOX for customer support, just grab a snack and be prepared to wait for a while.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
