That is because true will print out as "1" if you use echo For debugging try using var_dump() or let your function return 0 (which seems to me, in this case, the better option) One little note; I think you should try to make your code a bit more readable (if the code in your question has the same layout as the code in your file). Try to indent code blocks, use separate lines for closing curly brackets, etc.

1 Good educated guess given the lack of information in the question. – Mark Byers May 15 '10 at 14:23 Thanks for the suggestion, I am going to give it a try. The code was looking proper in my editor, but had touble when I pasted it here.. – happyhardik May 15 '10 at 14:27 Okay, in that case you ignore my little note :) – Lex May 15 '10 at 14:27 Ok it works.. thank you guys!

Do: var_dump(uddated_sql('YOUR QUERY')) and check whether it returns boolean true or integer 1 value.
I am trying to get the number of rows affected in a simple mysql update query. However, when I run this code below, PHP's mysql_affected_rows() always equals 0. No matter if foo=1 already (in which case the function should correctly return 0, since no rows were changed), or if foo currently equals some other integer (in which case the function should return 1).
The UPDATE statement itself works. The INT gets changed in my database.
A 15-16 lb turkey takes about 3-5 hours to cook. This is a good ratio to keep in mind for traditional roasting a turkey based on temperature and weight. Brining is an ideal technique for this type of roasting and it will also make the turkey more moist.
Another way to cook turkey is to use high heat roasting and this is done at 500 degrees. This will reduce cooking and increase flavors. Dark meat will reach the right temperature faster and white meat does not have the time to be too dry.
Typically, fresh local turkey is best, but grocery store turkeys are almost as good. The crucial thing is to make sure you have a clean oven, because there will be excess smoke leaving behind extra residue.

Either use routing or create a 'cat' controller in an 'admin' folder.
You can pass the name of the function as an argument to your cat function, like this function cat($func=''){ //call the function passed as an argument if ($func && function_exists($func)) $this->$func(); }.
So I'm not sure what the model has to do this with... But I think what you're asking is you want a url structure like /admin/cat/param then your Controller should look like this.
But what I need is to call another function from that 'cat', I know how to call another function, but I want my URL to look like this then. How can I do this?
While it is rare, a woman can get pregnant while she is menstruating. There is no time of a woman's cycle where there is no chance of her getting pregnant. Sperm are also very resilient, and they can live inside a woman's body waiting for an egg for up to five days.
In general, no. Most young women get their first period when they're around 12 or 13. Beginning to menstruate earlier or later than that shouldn't have any effect on your fertility. In most cases, getting your period earlier or later than other girls simply means that you're an early or late bloomer.
If you started getting your period early, there's no evidence that you'll have trouble conceiving or that you'll enter menopause (the end of menstruation) sooner. That said, there some medical conditions — such as thyroid disease, ovarian failure, or certain genetic complications — that can delay the first period and make it harder to get pregnant down the road. You can ask the dr for an ultrasound.
The dr should've scheduled you for a d & c to make sure everything is out.
As for now the Verizon iPhone is sold at $199 and $299 respectively for the 16GB and 32GB iPhone 4 for a 2 year contract, the same exact price as AT&T's iPhone is. The difference between competing networks is their subscription plans. That's where the competition will be, that and the quality of service provided.
Right now, Verizon is expected to have a much faster network speed but that may change as their subscribers increase in number which it surely will. Here's a price chart for the subscription plans for each iPhone, wired.com/gadgetlab/2011/01/verizon-ipho.... A very notable difference you'll notice from the chart is AT&T's missing unlimited data plan so if you're not into limited internet usage you might want to go for the Verizon iPhone. It's important to choose wisely because you won't be able to use the same iPhone for different networks.
Hope that helps.
They do have the air stick, that uses cell signals but heard that can be pricey, also there is the satalite option but that to can be expensive, don't know what else to tell ya,check with a local internet provider and see what other options there might be.
Thank you for your help. I wonder if most any of them would work, and I say that because when we bought the house I had service with SBC Global (thru AT&T, I believe;) I called to tell themabout the move, and that the house didn't have a landline and they said they couldn't help me, could not transfer my service. I made the appt with the local cable company for the tv & internet.
I hooked up my old gateway desktop, and lo & behold my SBC global was hot, working fine. Drup 4 months ago .

Groundhog's Day! You can live the same day in pretty much any way you want until you tire of it. How great is that?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
