Need advice! Where to find a business partner and or cfo for a startup?

Another option (admittedly, it takes a while for this one to work) is to go to business school and make connections. Most of the value in a MBA degree is making business contacts, so something might come out of that.

You can always approach your siblings and parents, but that really depends on what your family is like!

A business partner must share your passion and vision and one that you can trust. How do you go about finding that person - one way is ask friends or go to an employment agency and see how many are looking for work in your field.

Sit down and talk with them about who they are and what drives them - remembering that a partnership is easily fractured for either vision or creative differences and don't forget the work equation - what type of worker are you - that's want you want in them.

A cfo should not be a partner unless that person knows the accounting and financial field, will not spend all their time with numbers And will tell you exactly what's going on.

Accouting is my back ground and am doing a web site bout it.

My advice is to only work with someone you are completely comfortable with. Made that mistake once myself.

You can find a financial backer through a peer-to-peer lending program. There is one called Lending Club and another called Prosper. Someone who lends you money might want to be involved in the business too.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
