Nerf has been around much longer and has kind of set the industry standard to the point that most other dart blasters made by other companies have had to be somewhat cross-compatible with Nerf products--that shows how much it's dominated the market. It's given Nerf/Hasbro the opportunity to innovate (new ammunition like MEGA darts and Rival rounds) and to put a lot of effort into expanding their brand into different intellectual properties (e.g. the Rebelle and ZombieStrike brands, as well as the Star Wars and Marvel licenses). But you've got to give credit to BoomCo (made by Hasbro's chief rival, Mattel) for bucking the trend and trying things that are quite different from Nerf's approach--re-emphasizing hit tracking with their sticky darts, novel ways of priming like the Whipblast, the introduction of air-powered automatic blasters (something Nerf abandoned years ago) with the Rapid Madness, and taking advantage of the unique characteristics of their proprietary ammo to make extremely high-capacity clips and blasters.
I also thought it was a good move to pick up the Halo license. Part of me kind of wishes they could've somehow made their blasters somewhat compatible (or compatible through relatively easy modification) with Nerf, as it would have been nice to see some of their innovations cross over into Nerf's neigborhood, but I can see why Mattel wants to build its own market and not be a "follower" of Nerf the way Buzzbee and Lanard are. Ultimately this isn't a "Coke vs. Pepsi" thing--BoomCo's still too new to be considered a strong rival to Nerf, and given the choice between the two I think most will go for the brand that's been around longer and has a bigger variety of products.
But BoomCo's got some good ideas that I wish Nerf would take some cues from.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
