Netbeans and Glassfish Deployment Issue?

I don't think you have registered the instance of Glassfish that you started manually with Glassfish (Services tab, rightclick on Servers, Add Server, type Glassfish 3.1, point to the base directory of the installation. Now Netbeans should recognize that server, and show that it's running.

You don't have to pass through Netbeans for deployment....

Thanks very much for your answer. I looked at the services tab and NetBeans was running a glassfish server from a completely different location - not sure how it even got there! I have deployed the .

War file via the console but wanted to use NetBeans to test any changes, it's a pain if they're in different places :) – Mathew May 9 at 18:13 odd... Anyways, best to either remove that other instance, or register it with Netbeans to avoid problems later on. Good luck with your development! – fvu May 9 at 21:49.

GlassFish Server 3.1 Server cannot start. Port is occupied. Your GF (server I meant;) )is trying to open a port which is aquired by some other process.

You can look for the process that is binded with port using netstat -aon Check here my answer for detailed information.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
