New cell phone setup questions, see details before answering please, thanks I have service with Net10/Tracphone (pre-paid) and I have recently upgraded to a Samsung SGH-T401g. I have tried to find this info on the phone manual that I downloaded from the Samsung page, but could not find the answer. On this phone there are two buttons called left soft key / right soft key (not the cursor key) and currently the right soft key is tied to phone internet browser access (while the left soft key is tied to accessing the phone Menu).
Upon being pressed (right soft key) the phone immediately tries to access the web and starts to deduct minutes. Naturally I am not interested in trying to browse the Internet via a slowwww cell phone connection. I was wondering if anyone here on Askville would know how to change the function of this button, or know of a (safe) website/forum that I could visit that may have info on how to get this particular button to be assigned to another function?
Again I have downloaded and reviewed the factory manual to no avail. Thanks Asked by jacle2270 19 months ago Similar questions: cell phone setup questions details answering Consumer Electronics > Cell Phones & Accessories.

1 Go to a cell phone store, not the Walmart or whatever where you bought it, and ask them. A cell phone store that sells Tracphone. They probably know the answer.

2 Other people on the Web have asked that question. From what I can gather, those keys are permanently assigned to activate the menu and the browser. The up-down-left-right keys can be re-assigned.
All I can think of is to pop off the button or wedge something under the key to keep from pressing it. You might even try a dollop of super glue under the key since it will crystallize when it dries and will not allow you to press the button.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
