15 years ago the same question was asked when Dragon Ball Z was showed on Toonami to kids before Dragon Ball. We all got by and most didn't have the internet, video games, or manga like the majority of kids do now. The reason for what happened back then and now is simply that action based shows bring in better ratings than more comical adventure based shows like Dragon Ball.
Also Kai in the US was an experiment to see if non localized anime can be successful in primetime and it thankfully was. Hell Toei didn't even care to add the Z in Kai in Japan to make sure their kids knew it wasn't the beginning It would be logical to go to Dragon Ball but logical is not the goal in television. You can buy (which is the goal) the Majin Buu saga or the manga for your cousin to get him caught up before Jan.16th.It's strange but it was just as strange back in 1996 when this all started for US fans.
Yeah, that's a pretty big blunder. But GT sucks anyway no one should watch it.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
