No Java virtual machine found starting Eclipse 3.6.1 on Windows 7 64bit machine?

Hop over to oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downl... and download the Java SDK. I think this will get you going unless I am misunderstanding something.

Thanks. There was still a lot of strange stuff to wade through but I must have picked the right thing because now Eclipse came up OK. I downloaded from: cds.sun.Com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.

Enfinity/WFS/… – John Galt Dec 8 '10 at 3:14 oops - bad URL. Here is what I chose for my PC: Download Java SE Runtime Environment 6u23 for Windows x64, Multi-language – John Galt Dec 8 '10 at 3:17.

Download the JDK from here: oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downl... The Eclipse SDK only contains the Eclipse IDE AFAIK :p.

Just go through this steps, well explained in step by step :-) Setting Up Eclipse with Java.

For pure Eclipse you do not need a JDK, just a JRE, so the easiest way is to go to java.com and allow it to install Java on your computer. Then Eclipse will work.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
