I agree. I am starting to wonder if we are seeing a new incarnation of mturk. I am refusing to encourage the "question spam" behavior.
Yeah, I avoid their questions. MorningDew 18 months ago .
Hey MD have you ever logged out of askville and looked at it,it's full of adds and this is how they make their money from this site, and turning askville into crapville most generate more adds thus more coin for Amazon.
No, I have not. I will need to do so. MorningDew 18 months ago .
I can not believe that the Askville Moderators think most of these lame questions are better than what we had before. I don't think these questions are computer generated, I think they are from people who do not speak the English language, are high school kids killing time or 40 year olds living in their Mother's basements.
It really bites! I am sick of seeing the blue men, and the same folks asking 20 or more questions a day! MorningDew 18 months ago .
Ya many of them are using computer generated questions which are sense less. They make boring .

Perhaps, in the dark smokey corner of some ramshackle old bar, out on Highway 666 in the dead of night, the reigns to Askville were, without ceremony, handed under the table to a soul-less droid who had dreams of fashioning it after his own shallow existence, and creating it to be nothing more than a store front for major advertising. Once again, the human element is being devalued and passed over for the sake of the almighty buck. What other reason could there possibly be?
As a site for communication, it worked. But seeking to engage caring individuals in a site so diminished of a format in which to express themselves will ultimately backfire, I believe. They saw what we had, and just didn't want to give that to us on their dime.
" "There've been complaints lately about the poor quality of questions. What are some examples of good questions? " "Who writes all these bonus questions?
Are they computer-generated or something? Why are they worded so poorly? " "Who are these people that keep spewing out these dumb, simple, stupid questions?
Are they on the payroll?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
