Graduates in those areas find more jobs available and at higher salaries. That's why. As much as a student might love the arts or literature etc., if they spend a fortune on a college degree and then can't find a job, what's the point?
If a student realizes that they won't be paid as well once they graduate and they still want to major in art or history or literature, that's their choice. They may actually be happier than the person who majors in something they don't like and gets paid well to do it but is miserable in the long run.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
