Não provaram do fruto proibido da árvore do conhecimento do bem e do mal, por isso não têm discernimento. O certo é fazer o bem, e errado é fazer o mal, portanto quem não conhece o bem nem o mal não sabe o que é certo nem o que é errado. Só quem consegue ter discernimento aprende que devemos fazer o que é certo apenas pela consciência de que é certo, não por medo de castigo, nem por esperança de recompensa.
