I would agree that the Democratic Party has changed but I think it has become too centrist. The emphasis always has to be on zealously representing the interests of the American public. The Democratic Party however has often caved to the Republican/conservative sledgehammer attacks from the right and ceded too much ground.
Clinton's mistakes, for instance, were almost all in ceding to the right -- e.g., the repeal of Glass-Steagall, NAFTA. The liberals and the unions were outraged. I reject your reasoning as to why you would support Romney because it makes absolutely no sense, considering what has actually been going on in the country.
Greed and money In that order... Don't think for a moment that the RINOs are any different... That is why we as Americans MUST use our ONE VOTE as a means to Oust every setting Politician EVERY time we can..... Reguardless of Party because party went out the door in 1993 when WJ Clinton Signed GHW Bush'd NAFTA Import Tariff Free into law... Not to mention the rewriting of the Patriot Act, NDAA, TSA, a ten thousand man personal "Civilian Army" at the Hands of a Common Socialist... ETC...
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
