On my iPod, can I shuffle in catgories, like Album, Genre, or a playlist? Or can only shuffle ALL the songs on my iPod?

You can shuffle selections Under Settings on you iPod, you need to turn Shuffle from Off to Songs (or Albums but I've never bothered using that setting). After that, anything you select (album, playlist, etc), the songs (after the first) will be shuffled. Sources: Experience .

On mine... If, from the main menu, under Settings->Shuffle, it is set to "Shuffle the Entire Music Library", but then I only select a certain Music->Playlist or Album to play, then just the songs from that playlist or album are shuffled through. Sources: personal experience .

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
