Paper is far better, as trees are a renewable resource. While many environmentalists would argue otherwise, we are not running out of trees. Most lumber companies act like farmers and replant after harvesting.
Sadly I worked at a grocery store in high school, and we were encouraged not to use paper, as it was much more expensive than plastic. Most people liked plastic better because of the easy to use handles and the waterproofing. However, there is a third choice. My family uses reusable cloth bags.
These make bringing in the groceries easier as they hold more, are more sturdy, and keep cold foods insulated. Most grocery stores including Walmart sell such bags for cheap.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
