Pedophiles changing pictures on FaceBook?

It is false. This facebook campaign is not connected to pedophiles. Completely disgusted that someone would spread a rumor like this to hurt such a great cause.

Note- I was abused as an child and I do find A LOT of comfort in seeing my friends on facebook take the time to share a childhood cartoon with everyone. I felt alone when I was abused years ago but now that I am grown, it's great to see so many of my friends standing up for victims of child abuse. THANK YOU to all who participated.

There are no reliable sources for this information. It has not been on any newscasts to date and is not on the sites of any news agencies or broadcasts. That said, the campaign was also not started to bring awareness to child abuse.

It was started just for fun and, when that got ignored, someone decided to add the child abuse line after the success of similar memes over the last year. They are not affiliated with, nor are they making any effort to help, any group working to combat child abuse. If you pay attention to the posts you'll find almost none of them even reference any groups involved in the cause.

This is a classic case of slacktivism, and when they say "It was the least I could do" this is what they were talking about.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
