1. Failing to properly educate your children. I know there would be some gray areas, but I am sick to death of people "home schooling" their kids and providing them with no education, or letting their kids stay home from school all of the time.
They're setting that kid up to be dependent upon society for the rest of their lives. Some states actually do enforce laws around this issue, but in far, far too many you can "home school" your kid by having them sit at home watching TV, or just preaching ridiculous gibberish at them that amounts to nothing when it comes to the actual academic standards in real schools. Kids should be able to pass some basic competency tests, administered by real teachers, and if they can't, that parent should sit in jail over night.
Unless you can prove you've been doing all that you can, and your child is still struggling, the blame should be on the parents. Kids who need extra resources should be given them free of charge. 2.
Lying cops. My boyfriend likes that show "The First 48," where they follow cops investigating murders, and it pisses me off to see cops sitting in interrogation rooms telling suspects "I'm trying to help you! " or "telling the truth will help you here."
Bull! What would help them is getting an attorney. Cops don't even have the authority to make deals.
Only prosecutors do. Cops should not be allowed to lie, since they have legal authority on their side. They should have to work within the confines of the truth.3.
Political commentary calling itself news.
Animal abuse! People who abuse animals are sick. Society is too soft on this; just look at Michael Vick!
I think the penalties for it should be extremely harsh.
I'd make it illegal to take physical action against any person without their explicit and expressed consent. No more bullies, no more abuse, no war, no rape - well, no more meaning there'd be no more question about who was guilty or who did what to whom and far more convictions. People would be able to expect to live in peace and anyone who forced themselves on anyone for any reason would pay.
You get the picture. The only exceptions would fall under the "Good Samaritan" clause or emergency medical care for unconscious persons.
I'll probably think of something better later, but for now I'm going to say leaving shopping carts in parking lots so they can get blown around and dent vehicles. Cars cost tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars. Why on earth would anyone on this planet ever consider not returning their cart to the store or to a stall?
It baffles me.
Well, I would make 'gossiping' illegal. There are a lot of people who talk about other people, keep on complaining and criticizing other people and not minding their own businesses and mind you, if you gossip back about them, they would complain, too. I think that if I could make gossiping illegal then they all would be focusing in their own lives and not others'.
I actually own a t-shirt that says we should outlaw stupidity.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
