PHP/Kohana 2 — calling “new static()” instantiating class not apparent in inheritance tree?

Can you share what version/release of Kohana you are working with. Also (just a shoot) can you verify that you are overloading variables and objects correctly. Print each step to a log or enable the debugging to the screen to view the stack trace.

To answer your immediate question as to why new static() may be instantiating an object it shouldn't, I would var_dump($fields) and see what data is being passed in. New static() is a php construct, but doesn't appear to have any documentation on args being passed in as part of the call (us.php.net/manual/en/language.oop5.stati...), so not sure what meaning $fields, false, true have on the object to be instantiated.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
