Both fields are supposed to have an intense curriculum. With nursing, however, there is no room for messing up or the patient can get seriously ill or even die. The nursing field is supposed to have a high burn-out rate and that includes all levels of the industry.
The PTAs also need to 'know their stuff' since they're working with patients that have had a stroke ("brain attack") which is a type of brain injury, someone with dementia (may be confused and agitated), fractured leg or such. Just fyi that they're required to have malpractice insurance as a precaution just as the other allied health disciplines. For general career info: http://www.bls.gov/oco and can type into search.
Whichever field or program that you're considering, please only look at those that are accredited within the industry. For possible volunteer opportunities: http://www.volunteermatch.org and the local hospital or nursing home may have a need too.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
