Wow, these are stunning! I love, literally, 90% of these names, so it's really hard to narrow them down. Girl Top Three:?
Delilah -- This is my all-time favourite girl name, it has been for years now. I think it's sweet and melodic, even though I usually find most "D" girl names a bit clunky. It's got just the right amount of girliness, mixed with just the right amount of character, and I think it would suit just about any age.
Plus, I think the nickname Lila / Lilah is absolutely adorable :)? Eve -- I used to have Genevieve in my top five (and I still like it) with the nickname Eve, but I'm starting to prefer just Eve by itself. It's simple, tasteful and mature, and it reminds me of "All About Eve", one of my favourite movies.
I have it as a middle name in a few combinations, but I'm really considering adding it to my list as a first name.? Helena -- I have always liked Helena, but in the past few days I've really begun to notice it more. I don't know if it's my undying admiration for Helena Bonham Carter or what, haha. I used to like it pronounced "hel AY nah", but now I prefer "HEL in ah", since the former pronunciation doesn't make sense if you really think about it.
And I find "HEL in ah" sounds much more down-to-earth. Girl Bottom Three:? Juniper -- I've never cared for this name.
I think it's the "nipper" sound at the end that I don't care for. It strikes me as being very awkward and I can't really picture it on anyone but perhaps a cartoon character, haha.? Jasmine -- I used to love Jasmine, but I find it a bit trendy and run-of-the-mill now. It seems like one of those stereotypical "foreign" names to me.? Harlow -- This seems too masculine for a girl and too feminine for a boy, in my opinion, and reminds me of the word "harlot".
I can also see it getting very trendy since Nicole Ritchie named her daughter Harlow. Just not my style at all. Boy Top Three:?
August -- August is my number three boy name right now, I think it's extremely handsome and dashing. I usually don't like month names, but this one has a quiet dignity to it that I just love, and the nicknames Auggie and Gus are so sweet. I also love that everyone's heard of it, but it's still a surprisingly underused name.? Leo -- I absolutely adore Leo, it's currently my all-time favourite boy name.
A lot of people seem to prefer it as a nickname, but it is short, simple and undoubtedly masculine on its own. It's also one of the few boy names that I consider both soft and strong at the same time, which is pretty difficult to come by.? Isaac -- I used to really dislike Isaac, but lately I'm starting to love it. It's quirky and sweet, and it reminds me of Woody Allen's character in "Manhattan", which I love.
I'm struggling to find middle names that flow with it, but once I do I am definitely going to add it to my short list.
I love a great deal of these names! Here's my short list for top 3:? -- Alice - Azalea - Charlotte - Dahlia - Eleanora - Eve - Flora - Helena - Isadora - Juniper - Luna - Ophelia - Ramona - Violet.? -- Alistair - Aloysius - August - Cassiel - Declan - Edward - Elias - Elliot - Harper - Jack - Jude - Leopold - Oliver - Rowan - Silas.
---------------------- Choosing a Top 3 is so difficult! I'm choosing the names that are highest on my own popularity list right now, as I can't choose definite favourites!? -- Alice Ophelia Flora/Juniper {they're tied on my list}?
-- Leopold Jude Silas LEAST FAVOURITES:? -- Valerie Jasmine Faye? -- Drake Harlan Rourke?
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
