Your question implies women, in general, feel that way and that would mean that more than 50% are in agreement...since I do not believe that to be true (nor would any thinking person), I'd have to say "Women DON'T think violence against men is okay"... ...which makes you incorrect...
WE DO NOT KNOW FOR SURE which gender suffers more because much of abuse is hidden, although women TALK and CRY and seek SUPPORT more. Men keep silent for shame There is no evidence that women or men think it's OK either way. Some women applaud when the abused female strikes back; they do it too for the abused man.
It is a human tendency to sympathize with an underdog. DV is always a power struggle issue, it's not about sex, and the weaker party (whether psychologically, emotionally or physically) backs down. The abuser then thinks he/she can maintain the edge only with more violence.
Education, counseling and penalties are the cures.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
