I'm not sure I follow your logic about the compatibility issue. Some things could work & others might never work. Sony told you it is not compatible but you do not believe them and now you want to blame Windows when it doesn't work.

The laptop you have is older technology and will not work with Windows 8. The more you install, the more problems you will have. Things that worked yesterday may not work today.

Either go back to the original configuration or get used to working with multiple problems.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
