Based in Scotland or Ireland quite some time ago. Man and woman marry. Before marriage the lady tries to tell her man about her past through a letter she tries to pass under the door, but he never gets it.
Either she got pregnant or had a baby when she was a young girl from some guy whom she sees later in the movie preaching to people. On their wedding night she tells her husband of her past and he sends her back to live with her father, who is mad that she told her husband about her past. I remember on their wedding night they were washing their hands in a basin and the husband asks the woman whose hands are yours and whose are mine and she replies 'they're all yours", in love.
Does this movie ring a bell? Wueirioruqweq 15 months ago .
After you type in your intro question you enter it and then you'll see an option to add more info in another box. Try again.
Yeah...ummmmm, any idea of the actors, year, brief explaination would help greatly .
Sorry for some reason I couldn't type more than a certain amount of characters in my first post. Read my reply above, there are details about the movie. I really need to find the title of this one.

My guess: "Tess of the d'Ubervilles" book by Thomas Hardy. Story is:Comment on the movie:This is a sad and compelling story set in the later part of the 19th century, about a simple country girl named Tess who is the oldest child in a poor family with many children. Due to her family's poverty, she is forced, at 16, to find work (i.e.
Taking care of the fowl farm) at the great House of a family called the D'Urbervilles (whom Tess and her family are led to believe are their distant relations). Naive Tess (who then knows nothing about the "dangers" of men), is quickly courted and seduced by the young lord of the House, Alec (who has set his sights on her since the first day they meet), although she doesn't love him. In her distress, she later packs up and leaves the House to return home; both Tess and Alec not realizing that she is already carrying his child.
The child is born but later dies of illness. Tess leaves home a second time and finds work as a dairymaid in a distant place where she meets and falls in love with Angel Clare, the handsome and well-respected son of a clergyman. Angel, who is unaware of Tess's "past", falls in love with her and holds her in awe for her virtue, beauty, grace and goodness of heart.
Tess tries to tell him of her past, but each time, fate cruelly intervenes and she never gets her chance... until it is too late. On their wedding night, Angel confesses to Tess that he has been promiscuous in the past and begs for her forgiveness. Tess readily forgives him and with this opening provided by Angel, she proceeds to tell him of her past relations with Alec and the resultant child, truly believing that Angel will forgive her as he himself has been forgiven for his own past sin.
But this is not to be.... and great tragedy (Hardy-style) ensues. Com/Tess-dUrbervilles-Justine-Waddell/dp/B000089QEM/ref=sr_1_1? S=dvd&ie=UTF8&qid=1283215002&sr=1-1.

Thank you so much goldie080. This definitely sounds like the movie. I'm going to look it up right away.
I've been looking for this movie for over 10 years, I didn't know it was a popular book. I don't watch TV or movies so I never came across it again. I never got to see the ending.
Perhaps I can watch it sometime now. Do you know if I could download it from somewhere? Wueirioruqweq 15 months ago .
.. - Am glad to be of help. I'm not one for downloading much from online but you can buy the DVD from amazon. Com, a used DVD is only $3.49.
Worth it! .
Oh man, I just watched the rest of the movie on youtube but I wished now that I hadn't. All these years I wondered what that movie was and how it ended. What a tragic ending!
I always thought they would have just lived happily ever after like Maria and the Captain von Trapp in the Sound of Music. I am so depressed now! Wueirioruqweq 15 months ago .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
