It is Hindu. Hindu people do not worship every deity in the pantheon... they focus on the one or two that are the local favorites, or that are specifically oriented to them in terms of their trade, their social role or position etc. So Ganesha alone is fine. Just study the character of Ganesha and you can see what other deities in other cultures are equivalent, and find that the archetype is more universal than you may have thought.

If you HAD to label it you can call yourself a "Hindu Ganesha Devotee" or simply a "Ganesha Devotee". It would make you a "pagan". But why labels?
Why not just explore your beliefs with no labels?
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
