Guns baby guns. U.S. citizens have the right to keep and bear arms, (sometimes). Non-restrictive or censored Internet.
We can blog and insult our government without fear of prison. Our money used to be our best freedom but the government is quickly taking that away from us. But when the government pushes us too far, we the armed militia can push back.
Now it is a fact the USA is the most free country. Freedom is your money, freedom is the cost of gasoline. Freedom is our tax rate, which is quite less then yours, (but is going up).
How about the "Ballot Initiative" can European citizens add legislation to be voted on? Plus, No guns in allowed England.
Americans are pathetic and show their complete ignorance every time they answer this question. All they can come up with is GUNS GUNS GUNS. And they have the misguided idea that people in the UK are not allowed to bear arms.
This is utter tripe. Anyone in the USA may hold a gun IF he has a licence. Anyone in UK may have a gun IF he has a licence.
The difference is that Americans are willing to use their guns to murder the government and even the President, though I think the military would step in and kill them first before they got anywhere near to doing that. We in Britain are far more civilised and prefer to use the ballot box to get rid of the government. Other so called freedoms they proclaim - freedom of money - we have money in the UK and it happens to be a stronger currency than the US Dollar.
One of the strongest bank notes in the world if not THE strongest as a matter of fact. Our money is as good as yours and our debt is considerably lower than yours I am glad to say. Tax rates = freedom.
Wow what a revelation that is. There are some working people here in UK that pay little or no tax, and others that avoid tax despite the fact that they are super rich. Freedom from tax for certain working citizens is not something Americans can claim I'm certain of that, but you will have your fair share of tax evaders.
One claims that it is FACT that the USA is the most free country - well that is according to an AMERICAN and you would say that wouldn't you? You have all been so brainwashed with that propaganda that you seriously believe it and defend it as if your life depended on it. Anyone who criticises that belief is anti American.
The real truth is that Americans just cannot take criticism. Spoilt brats come to mind when I think of their reaction to it. Uncensored internet?
Explain to me then why I was able to watch a TV program from America that clearly showed censorship of an internet user being investigated for child abuse? I guess you will tell me that investigation is not censorship, but I beg to differ on that one. Freedom of religion is another area where you are completely misguided.
We have freedom of religion in Britain too and anyone of any faith may practise their religion without fear. We are a very tolerant nation and multicultural. No religion is banned here in Britain.
The only thing that I agree partially with is the freedom of speech issue. Even here the British are able to criticise the government and say almost anything they like. The only restriction is on racial or religious hatred or terrorism which I think you will agree is not the kind of freedom of speech most would want to exercise in any case.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
