Politics: Why do liberals expect Americans to BEG the govt. to take away our rights?

Because it's just like that Nanny Bloomberg idiot. They think everybody should think and feel, and live their lives the same way as they do. "Oh who needs a gun?"

Well not everybody can afford to live in a nice, secure, gated community, or live in an area where there are a lot of police around. Sometimes people would rather hunt for food than go out to the store and buy some genetically-modified organic crud. Then there are people like me who collect firearms and have fun going down to the range to shoot with my friends, and who own guns for self defense.

When it comes to "assault weapons," all I really have to say is who is anybody else to determine what kind of gun is sufficient for my self defense? An AR-15 with a 30-round standard capacity magazine makes me feel much safer than a side-by-side shotgun with two shots. EDIT: "The libs have not taken anybody's guns..." --Yet.

By the way, they're doing it in other states. They have already prohibited them with the Hughes Amendment to the 1986 FOPA, they prohibited a bunch with the 1994 Federal AWB, and they kept that law at the state level in many places. In New York, you can't even have a gun that holds more than 7 rounds beginning in 2014.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
