Politics: Why do liberals support banning guns to "save the kids", but ALSO support Abortion?

I am proposing making it a bit more difficult to obtain weapons. This would include registration in all states of ALL weapons, all sales must be registered, and all potential owners have a thorough background checks run. If there are ANY red flags - mental state, arrests, criminal history.

. . - there is NO sale.

All I am asking is that it is harder to get a gun. The harder it is, the more people will protect their guns, and the harder it is for the guns to be obtained by individuals with less than scrupulous objectives.

Show me proof where one Liberal has said we want guns banned, we have NEVER said that. What we want is, as someone else said, more control over the selling of weapons, make it harder for someone to buy one. If you are a responsible gun owner then why would that be a problem for anyone?

I understand that people like to hunt and people like to collect guns, I do not have a problem with that. You say you live in MI, so do I. Did you ear the story about the Livonia cop that was shot and killed last night?

Oh ya he was shot by someone breaking into a home, one of the things that that robber took? A gun that he used to shoot the cop. Then there is the story of the son who shot his father because the father had a gun and was about to shoot his wife.

Edit: I apologize to others on here for the kind of long rant, but my cousin is a Livonia cop and could have been the one killed last night.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
