If you believe in such things, you are known as a solipsist. Reality exists only when it is perceived. Since you are unsure anyone else is perceiving, the universe will vanish upon your death.
If we somehow come to understand that everyone of us perceives, your reality will still be different from everyone else. Thus your idea of reality will perish with you. It is like taking a secret with you to your grave, there is no chance of recovering thus secret.
There is no doubt whatsoever, that when you die, your existence will die with you. Most people lack the moral courage to accept this truth, and we have the various religious faiths that provide the fairy tale about your immortal spirit, and an afterlife spent for all time in a heavenly paradise. Since most people cannot manage without that fantasy, the faiths provide a very useful service, don't they?
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
