Poll: Katy Perry or Lady Gaga?

A great question! Both ladies are certainly having their say in the music scene right now. Personally, I'd go Gaga without question.

She's unique, innovative, and has extended her art far beyond the scope of music, i.e. , she's influencing fashion, art, culture, etc. She's also an INCREDIBLY talented performer. If you haven't checked out her performance at the NYU talent show (under Stefani Germanotta), do so immediately.

I doubt you'll ever see Miss Perry performing at such a high caliber. Katy Perry is a force on the music scene, but I feel (and she has supported the claim) that it's mostly aimed at the teen crowd. Not to say adults aren't humming "California Gurls" all day long, but when it comes down to it, she's too pop-py to last.

Gaga's music has a timeless quality about it. I also find Gaga to be much more inspirational. Her music/performance stays with me, makes me think; Perry's more in-one-ear-and-out-the-other kind of musical pleasure.

Perry's good for catchy singles; Gaga's revolutionizing an art form. Many people consider her too "out there" for their tastes - again, see the NYU clip - but she is who she is, and she absolutely lives and breathes music, Katy Perry seems like she's just here to have a few laughs, get her kicks while she's young. Perry is a Billboard artist - Gaga is bigger than that.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
