The entire Iron Man trilogy, Frozen, Divergent.
I don't really think of things as overrated. It implies that you think people are wrong for loving a movie/book/show, and since art is subjective, there's really no such thing as wrongly loving something. That being said, there are certainly popular films that I personally dislike.
(Even though I'm not too picky generally) I agree with you on all of yours, except Titanic. I have very mixed feelings about it. Anyway, I guess I'll talk about Disney/Pixar first.
I really despise The Little Mermaid in particular. Sleeping Beauty, Cars, Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc, Mulan, Hercules, Tarzan, Pocahontas, all are blech. Other ones would be: -Forrest Gump -A lot of Spielberg movies like Saving Private Ryan and Close Encounters of the Third Kind (E.T. is an exception though, I do love that movie, mostly from nostalgia.
Schindler's List is pretty good too) -The Usual Suspects -Citizen Kane -Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind -My Neighbor Totoro (I'm a huge Ghibli freak but I think this movie is highly meh compared to the others) -Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (Indeed, most westerns. Ugh) -Annie Hall There are more, those are ones that come to mind pretty quickly. Edit: Oh yeah, aside from Home Alone, which is awesome, I'm not big on John Hughes movies.
Ferris Bueller especially. Ugh, I want to slap that kid in the face.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
