Poll - Who here has suffered, or is suffering from depression?

Life is hard. I'm a 13 year-old girl whose father lost his job about a year ago, we lost our house, we had to live at my grandmother's, my father cheated on my mom, and countless other things are going wrong. So far, almost two years later, we finally got a house.

What my point is, almost everyone has problems. My father's side of the family (my dad is actually a very good man, just not what he did is all) are all drug addicts, they hate him (for no good reason), they've never been apart of my life, etc. But the other side, most of them have been involved. Some things are good, others very bad.

You don't speak very highly of yourself... Are you being harsh or realistic? And looks don't really matter that much, but if you hate yourself THAT much, get plastic surgery. You really shouldn't feel bad about yourself.

Beauty's only skin deep, the rest of us look the same on the inside. As to WHY people suffer... No one knows. I mean I believe in God, but I question things a lot.

Like he's supposed to help us. We worship him. He is almighty... If he can do everything, and everything happens for a reason, then men raping babies and children dying every 7 seconds happens for a reason?

And he can't stop this?! And people are saying "God's testing you!" What if there's no test?

It's just to live your life as much as you can? Life is amazing. We are literally walking bags of meat.

Is that good enough? No, people say there has to be something better than what we have now. I don't think so.

Good people and innocent children die and get abused every day for no reason.. Sometimes I think, "Is God really watching over us? If so, why would the Almighty let us suffer through all of this?" You seem like a really good person.

Nobody said life was fair. Whenever you feel down, just think about how better off you are than a lot of other people and how lucky you really are. Yes we will all die, but why not live your life out and enjoy it while its here?

And yes, alot of good people suffer. This brings into question the notion of a "loving" god. Life's a ***** and then you die.

Might as well try and make the best out of it you can eh?

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
