Portable DVD player recommendations?

Portable DVD player recommendations I'm looking for a portable DVD player where great battery life, ability to play DIVX movies stored on DVDs and reliability are paramount, good picture quality and screen size (prefer 8-9") are secondary, and price and other features are icing. The front-runners in my research are the phillips PET-1002 (hard to get) and the panasonic DVD-LX97 (pricey, possible reliability problems). I would appreciate comments from owners of these specific (not last year's) models or recommendations on anything I've overlooked.

We had the Panasonic LX97 - but I bought in on ebay for 135 Sorry, not overly impressed, except the built in FM transmitter. It wanted to be a MP3 player more than it wanted to be a DVD player. We ended up getting the DVD-LS91 and like it a lot.

1 I should have mentioned this on my question, but one thing that I'm never sure about when I read specifications, is whether a dvd player can play mp4/divx movies stored on a DVD disc. I've seen some comments that implied that the panasonic can only play mpeg-4 movies from the built-in SD slot, and some others which say the phillips can only play them if they're stored on CDs, not DVDs. Please clarify this for me.

The 2 players look practically identical but the LX97's battery is rated at 10 hours, where the LS91's is 6 hours, which is why I was leaning more towards the LX97 - I don't care much about the FM transmitter but battery life is important.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
