Potential gross misconduct?

Don't file a lawsuit. You have nothing to sue on. You don't know if you would have gotten the job or not.

Look at it from their point of view: they're going to put time into orienting you and training you, and then you're going to leave. You're also going to need time off for doctor's appointments. It might not sour them later.

Maybe they would see that you were a great worker and that you're worth waiting for if you take three months' off. Or maybe they would see that you give them a good return on investment for your time there and it was worth having you for only a few months. Or maybe they're so used to people going in and out after a few months that it wouldn't phase them.

Legally, you don't have to tell them. Legally, they don't have to hire you. So, keep your mouth shut if you want a job.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
