Pq as ex-colônias de Portugal na África falam com o sotaque igual ao de Portugal e nós, brasileiros, não?

Eu acho bem difícil perder o sotaque. Eu tenho vizinhos Chineses,e eles moram por aqui por mais de 12 anos(o filho deles têm essa idade e é BR),e ainda tem aquele sotaque. Acho que pra perder o Sotaque a pessoa tinha que evitar a língua materna por muito tempo,e ficar cercado de pessoas que falem o outro idioma,e treinar bem os ouvidos também.
