Problems with rounding, decimal data type for price in mysql?

Up vote 1 down vote favorite share g+ share fb share tw.

In my table, I declare use the following datatype for price: CREATE TABLE `actions` ( `id` varchar(14) NOT NULL, `price` decimal(10,2) NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY (`id`) ) ENGINE=MyISAM DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1; But when I insert a price, ie 9.99 it is rounded down to 9.00. If I insert 5.66 it is rounded to 5.00? I'm confused as to why this is - any ideas please?

I'm printing the value of the variable prior to inserting so that's not the problem. Data types mysqli decimal rounding link|improve this question edited Jun 12 '11 at 12:07rebus4,6082624 asked Jun 12 '11 at 12:06ric112.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
