Question about Investing in mutual funds, stock market etc. but being paid in Chinese yuan currency?

Question about Investing in mutual funds, stock market etc. But being paid in Chinese yuan currency I am currently working in Shanghai, China. It's my first job, and I want to set aside some of my earned income into investments in stocks or mutual funds. However, I am being paid in Chinese yuan, so I am unsure of how to invest.

Will I have to convert my yuan into dollars (and deal with conversion fees etc. ) or are there trading services that allow foreign currencies? Thanks! =) Asked by asker8686 18 months ago Similar questions: Question Investing mutual funds stock market paid Chinese yuan currency Business > Financial Planning.

1 I'd get your money into US dollars as quickly as possible. China may eventually be forced to re-evaluate the yuan to its real value, which will lose you possibly 20%-50% of your money.

2 If you are going to put "my earned income into investments in stocks or mutual funds"you will need an account somewhere with somebody...If you are an American, you might consider opening an account withE*Trade or Schwab, and then ask them how to deal with your money issue...

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
