Nice to see ya :) This Note's For You - Neil Young http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSSvzCNBv... "Ain't singin' for pepsi, ain't singin' for coke. I don't sing for nobody. Makes me look like a joke" "Ain't singin' for miller, don't sing for bud.
Won't sing for politicians. Ain't singin' for spuds" Hey Nineteen - Steely Dan http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YzfwtX2kg... "the cuervo gold, the fine columbine..." Vasoline - Stone Temple Pilots http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ht672-wYe... Yeah, it's been a while and when I see posts like these? Love it.
Some real good people here right now :) Oh, no kidding that Neil's anti-brand song. Esp towards MTV at the time. Lol And of course, Sugaree got me thinking (and a bit shamin) that I didn't list at least one Dead tune.
So...thanks Sugar ;) Sugar Magnolia http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWuQiGaIsso "She can dance a Cajun rhythm. Jump like a Willys in four wheel drive" ;).
This one was sort of difficult but this is what I came up with. Kokomo - The Beach Boys http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ChADh1zt... Here is an interesting article on the song: http://www.songplaces.com/Kokomo/Islamor... And the last paragraph reads: According to the band, the inspiration for the song was a pool-side bar at a hotel in Islamorada, one of the little island towns in the Florida Keys. In fact, the video was shot at Grand Floridian Resort at Walt Disney World in Florida.
Yes, that's right, we're in Florida. And we're staying there. With Walt Disney involved, if we dig any deeper we're likely to find out that they used animatronic Beach Boys.
I picture a very cool hotel we stayed at in Ft. Lauderdale and to me that was "Kokomo". ~Zebra.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
