Salam. In the qur'an,Allah has instructed us to obey Allah swt and also the rasool Muhammad pbuh. It means we muslims should understan the contents of the qur'an and hadith and we should practis ed both of them in our daily lives.
The hadith is the explanation made by the rasool about anything which is not clear stated in the qur'an such as how to make wudhu, how to make prayer, how to calculate the amount of zakat or islamic taxes ,how about riba which is not allowed etc.
