Read() for TCP/IP socket in pySerial returns empty byte array (Python 3.2)?

From the pySerial docs it looks like readlines() is only implemented if it's using serial. FileLike as a base class, which is apparently only for versions of Python that don't implement the io library (Sorry for the poor reading comprehension on my part!

Sorry for the poor reading comprehension on my part!

That wasn't one I tried previously though I just attempted it and got the same issue. I return 0 bytes read and my byte array I read into remained unchanged. I'm starting to think that the way I'm sending commands is wrong based on the fact that I'm reading empty strings.

Either that or I'm not even connected to the device through pyserial which would also make sense. – Kevin Oct 28 at 11:10.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
