Whatever you have done is the standard method of redirecting a non www page" rel="nofollow">www page to its www page" rel="nofollow">www page at the . Htaccess level. There is no other better way of doing it.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
