Regarding renewing drivers license in the U.S. while living abroad?

Regarding renewing drivers license in the U.S. while living abroad My son lives out of the country and his driver's license will be due to be renewed in July. When he comes home if it has expired, he won't be able to drive. I live in OK.

I asked the agency and they were clueless. Does anyone know how I would go about doing this? Thanks for any info.

Depends on the class of licence... In Oklahoma, only a Class D license can be renewed by mail. Commercial, Class A, Class B, and Class C licenses can only be renewed in person. There's an extension for members of U.S. armed forces and their families.

He must find a way to renew it personally before it will expire or he will renew it when he goes home. It's either he will renew it before it will expire but if he has no plan of returning home yet, it's alright not. He can also choose to renew it when he needs it or when he's home already.

This has to vary by state. Seems to me I took care of renewing my son's license when he was living in Europe. I think I sent him some paperwork and he returned it and I brought down to the DMV.

Most states will or have regulations set in place to assist Soldiers abroad, all you have to do is contact the DMV! If he doesn't work for the government It might not be as easy!

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
