I agree. He hit 563 home runs which probably does justify his being in the HOF but he is very overrated. I remember looking at his stats when I was a kid and people were talking about how great he was and wondering what I was missing.
He is very overrated. "Mr. October"? So what he hit a few World Series home runs.
The guy also had a bad attitude they say. It is also known that he used greenies which were illegal amphetamines commonly used in that era. I know people in here think illegal amphetamines are just candy but that should be looked down upon and MLB now suspends players for using them the only reason he was not suspended in his day is there was no drug testing at the time he played.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
