Religion our greatest strength our weakness?

I think everyone had notebooks full of half finished stories, at least I know I do! Have you ever tried NaNoWriMo (google it! :p) it helped me get properly into a particular story I'd been 'playing with' for two years.

My weakness is that I indulge myself too much - by which I mean I will change plot to save characters I love, even when it doesn't make as much sense, and I probably write too many love scenes :p Also character development, my characters often seem to come from real people, and I find it hard to deviate from my "real" counterparts, as well as not naming them after people I don't like even if it "fits". My strengths are, like you, my writing style - I've always been praised on it, even when I was 10 I got a 'special mention' on my schools ofsted report for my writing (lol). I've had a few poems published in cheap anthologies too, even though I don't particularly enjoy much poetry I can whack one out in 5 minutes - teehee!

Greatest Strength - I think it is my creativity with characters. I am constantly thinking about what type of things should or could happen to them. They're quite real to me.

Greatest Weakness - My awkward writing style. I add in words that are distracting or do not fit. I mean, I do this a lot.

I often don't see it until someone points it out and then I'm like "GUH! Why didn't I see that?" It seriously bothers me because it disrupts the flow of reading it.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
