You could use the which(x == max(x)) idiom here and use apply() to run this against each row.

One method is to use rank. Note the minus sign before the data as the default ordering is low->high.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
