Pretty good Office 2007 has some nice minor improvements from Office 2003 (one example is being able to sort on more than 3 columns in Excel). It stores files in XML format which should be less prone to corruption and could (theoretically at least) be converted into another XML file format via XSLT. The Home and Student version is by far the best value (costing just slightly more than buying a single application).

The one thing I'm still not used to is that they replaced the menus and toolbars with their new ribbon system. Basically, it's a series of toolbars linked to the menus displayed one at a time (and changed when you select a different "menu"). For best price, just do a search on Froogle or PriceWatch or PriceScan or ... It is definitely XP compatible.

. A minor example is the ExpN (where N is a number) are now reserved words in Excel (I use a spreadsheet that had those as named cells).

2 Thanks, wilcoxon! Your info is great! .

4 Office Home & Student 2007 restricts commercial use. And if you're a student and you can provide a student ID, just get Office 2007 Standard at academic price which is actually cheaper than the Home & Student version AND includes Outlook 2007. I found one at CostCaptain.com which is an authorized academic reseller and after I faxed in my student id, I got it and it is awesome.

I actually got the Office 2007 Pro version for $179 which is a super deal! .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
