Some are good for eating, others you have to cook them first. I love the Red Delicious but I have to peel it. The skin gives me such stomach cramps and I have no idea why.

The best apple for eating is the Fuji, a very dense, sweet variety, unlike the Red Delicious, which is mealy, thick-skinned, and tastes like nothing. (But Red Delicious sure are easy to grow! ) Fujis are grown in the same places other apples are grown, i.e.
