(?) How to find & read this stuff.. write a search engine, or just hijack and re-code somebody else's. Ignore the parts where the "robots. Txt" file is read, and the honor system works.
(the only reason some sites are not indexed is because robots. Txt has a note "please don't index") Better yet.. let other engines do the "nice" indexing, and you ONLY look for stuff that is not indexed. Also consider using conventional file locations.. just because it isn't linked to a webpage doesn't mean it does not exist.
Old protocols like FTP, Telnet, and others didn't just disappear. (?) Is there already a search engine.. probably. But if a website owner cannot trust them.. and you or I might be an annoyed website owner.. "they" are not going to be easily found.
(?) TOR library.. super secret C-O-N-spiracy stuff, blackmail, mind control, etc.. in my (educated, but limited & always humble) experience.. most of this stuff is cr@p. There are some tiny nuggets of truth, but most is sensationalist, "rumored", " uncomfirmed", or totally falsified info. Sure, people are generally not tech-savvy, so they might leave blackmail pix of Harry Truman on their Nook tablet with the default password settings.
Usually it ain't so simple. Legal? - depends.
In most cases, entering somebody else's computer without their permission is illegal. Face danger, hackers, security? This ain't a movie where you get an anime avatar and run around the interwebs with Johnny Mnemonic and TRON chasing you.
The only time you need to look at security is when you are actively breaking into someone else's system.. or when you examine files you take. ... that is security in addition to the 'normal' common-sense stuff everyone should be doing. IF anyone catches you in their log files.. they may go after you - with the police or FBI, not a hack.
If you download files, then you can be grabbing a copyright violation, added police charges, or yes.. a virus. Relax a bit.. take a class or read up a bit on search engines, how web servers are put together, and practice in your own lab of friends' or junk computers before you go out into the Matrix.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
